How to activate shutdown timer on your laptop

Have you had any experience....

transferring files from your Laptop to an external?

Have you ever had the above and....

had to leave the house while the process is still running?

Hi guys,

In order to save some space on my Laptop,
I do file cleaning every now and then.
I delete the files I won't be needing including....
pictures and documents and sort aside the file I wanna keep
(well, obviously).

Unless you're using USB 3.0 on both devices,

large file transfers is a b****.

My external is USB 3.0 but my Laptop is 2.0

But luckily,

Windows 7 is pretty good at handling large file transfers.
You don't need any special software such as...
TeraCopy and SuperCopier.

Here is my story,

Recently, I was on my bed working on my Laptop cleaning it up...
I performed a "cut and paste" to transfer files to my external.

The popup prompt showing the transfer process is running and...

estimated time to complete is 2 hours. (OK, I have no problem with that)

Suddenly, I got a call.
I had to leave the house.
Laptop will be unattended and I don't like the idea of wasting electricity.

So I remembered I read somewhere on the net

a trick this girl uses in situations alike.

Click on the START button

Type the letters "cmd" in the search box

Type "shutdown /s /t 10800"

and then I hit "Enter" and left the house.

What I just did was...

telling the Laptop to automatically shutdown...

with a countdown from Ten Thousand Eight Hundred seconds.

(that is 10800 seconds = 300 minutes = 5 hours)

Bill Gates would probably do the same thing.

Children's behavior pattern, apply Pedagogy.

This does not apply to parents with extra-ordinary children.

It is advisable to consult a pediatrician.

When you don't get along (not-in sync) with your child...

it's not the child's fault, obviously you are doing something wrong...

Woke up pretty late today, I didn't get to sleep last night and only went to bed after 5am. In the mood to write something while still in bed but the wifi signal is only showing two bars from my room. Two bars is sufficient but why stop at two when you can get full.... right!! more reason to write if not anything else.

Isu Wanita Terpaksa Pakai Kain Sarung di JPJ

Faktanya, apa yang dikatakan oleh YB Datuk Aziz Kaprawi tu benar sekali.... Peraturan adab pemakaian semasa berurusan di pejabat kerajaan telah lama wujud. Cuma segelintir rakyat yang tidak faham atau buat-buat tak faham malah bersahaja mencabar peraturan ini. Demi menghormati orang lain yang berurusan di pejabat kerajaan maka semua diminta untuk berpakaian sopan dan tidak menjolok mata. Tetapi tidak, bila kita pergi ke sana ada sahaja satu atau dua orang yang pakai seluar pendek yang amat pendek atau pakai mini skirt. Tak boleh yer setan.... pakai tu elok la sikit.

Kemudian, isu minta maaf ni jangan la dijadikan isu.... ini adalah budaya kita sebagai orang Melayu yang bertenang... dan suka ketenangan. Ini namanya budi bahasa. Ada juga saya tengok beberapa orang yang marahkan Aziz Kaprawi kerana minta maaf.... eh... takpe la... apa je kita buat kalau orang nak cakap... terkena juga. Blame the man for apologizing..... and blame him if he doesn't.

Datuk Aziz Kaprawi minta maaf untuk menenangkan keadaan.... he is a national level leader... ini contoh yang baik... biar lah orang kata salah sekalipun.... takde yang lebih baik daripada minta maaf. Dia minta maaf dengan niat yang baik... people should be happy.

Anggota yang bertugas tu pun jangan kita salahkan sangat... dia jalankan tugas dia. Jikalah mungkin adalah salah silap... mungkin cara dia handle keadaan tu ada kekurangan sahaja... bukannya dia maki orang tu dan halau keluar..... dia suruh pakai elok sikit. pakai sarung pun takpe.... macam aci-aci yang datang tu.... pakai sari.... pakai sarung.... OK jer...

Mungkin sebab ini.... Datuk Aziz minta maaf.... untuk tenangkan semua orang. Bagi kakitangan awam yang bertugas.... peranan anda adalah untuk jalankan tugas dengan penuh tanggungjawab. Pun begitu, budi bahasa perlu guna sebaik mungkin.... budi bicara juga perlu ada. Kalau tiada budi bicara duduk kat Malaysia ni.... apa nak jadi.
